about CRISMATIC & HNSR

Herdern North & South Records started 25 years ago, the place where CRISMATIC was born. The studio was wherever both bandmembers had their recording sessions. Freiburg (Herdern) and Karlsruhe. All Tracks and Albums were recorded between 1999 and 2005.

The beginning... In 1996 at the age of 17 both musically interested scholars Christaar & Marcador a.k.a. MC Loulou had picked up interest in RAP & Hip-Hop. Though living in Germany both had been raised half french as each of their mothers came from France. Main musical inspiration had lately come from France with Artist like MC Solaar, IAM, NTM and many others. So one came to the other. First performance took place at the 1998 graduation party in Freiburg. 

Until 2000they set up their 1st Album "Nos Pensées" Classical music samples and almost 100% FRENCH RAP with mainly serious topics.

In 2002 while "Le monde de CRISMATIC" (17 Tracks) was being recorded they took the chance to perform live in Stuttgart thanks to connections to DJ NBK. The new Album featured some GERMAN Hip-Hop and also some ENGLISH and SPANISH lyrics. Alongside the "usual" quite serious Topics they started produced some more laid-back tunes. 

2003 turned out to be a the most inspiring and productive year. Further collaborations DJ NBK (Stuttgart), Max Farah (Je pense à toi) and finally DENKSPORT followed. "On lève nos voix" can probably still be considered one if not the biggest success.

The following years ...: less time for music. Instead more time spent working and starting their professional careers as electronics engineer and doctor(med.). However only some years ago a collection of recorded Tracks (until 2005) have been assembled in the Album "unCLASSIFIED"
